According to the survey from Chongqing Customs, it shows that the total export amount of agricultural products from January to February 2002 reached US$101.48 million, which took up 9.3% of the total exports of Chongqing and increased by 13.7% compared with that of 2001.

All the agricultural products were exported to 97 countries and regions this year, among which the following took the first five positions: India (US$20.99 million), Japan (US$14.36 million), South Korea (US$10.99 million), Hong Kong (US$8.81million), Germany (US$6.2 million). The five top agricultural products exporters were: Chongqing Jiatai Silk Co. Ltd. (US$14.47 million), Chongqing Grain and Food Import and Export Joint-stock Co. Ltd (US$8.72million), Chongqing Medicine and Health Care Products Import and Export Co. Ltd (US$5.81million), Chongqing Wuda livestock Co. Ltd. (US$4.97million) and Chongqing Rongchang Rongfa Tea Factory (US$4.91 million).

There were 147 companies succeeded in operation of import and export of agricultural products, 26 more than that of the same period last year.
